Search for missing Malaysian Airlines jet concentrates on Indian Ocean

The search for evidence of the missing Malaysian jet which disappeared two weeks ago continues to frustrate investigators.
Satellite data suggests the missing aircraft came down in one of two vast areas stretching from Central Asia to the Southern Indian ocean.
Leading the Indian Ocean search, Australia is focusing its efforts on a remote 600,000 sq km patch of ocean more than 2,300 km southwest of Perth. Four military P-8 Orions will assist the search, along with two longer range commercial jets. The P-8 Orions have enough fuel to scan the surface for two hours while the chartered jets can carry enough fuel for a five-hour search mission.
Australia's HMAS Success has also sailed to the search area to join two merchant vessels already diverted to the Indian Ocean.
With two weeks into the search and no solid information on the fate the missing aircraft the case is becoming one of modern aviation's most baffling mysteries.
