A married man was badly beaten by his mistress after running off with her money.

A 38-year-old woman, surnamed Chen from Hsinchu, Taiwan met Lin, a 43-year-old man online who claimed to be single.
They dated for a while, then Lin started borrowing money from Chen. He borrowed over 30,000 US dollars in total, then suddenly disappeared.
An enraged Chen went to Lin's house and robbed him. Chen and four male friends forced Lin into a car. They beat him up and slashed his face when he resisted.
They then drove to mountains outside the city with Lin bleeding profusely. Chen intended to force Lin sign an IOU note, but became concerned he might die.
After taking Lin to an emergency room, the group left. He now has 12cm long scar on face and bruises all over his body.
Police arrested Chen and her accomplices. She told police she was angry that her lover hadn't told her he was married and put her through the indignity of disappearing after taking her money.
Chen told police she had planned to talk to Lin and asked again for her money. She told police Lin was hurt only because he tried to fight back.
