Colombian Gov't Aiding Rebel Leaders Travel to Peace Talks

To facilitate the peace talks currently underway in Havana, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced that the government has offered guarantees for travel to and from Cuba for leaders of the country's two guerrilla groups, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the National Liberation Army (ELN). Santos said the rebel leaders currently in Havana participating in the talks will be guaranteed safe return to Colombia to assist the campaign to remove landmines from areas affected by the armed conflict. teleSUR
