A Florida dad has come under fire after a video showing him kicking his 6-year-old down a half-pipe went viral, according to an ABC News report.
Marcus Crossland was coaching his son, a reported skateboarding prodigy nicknamed "Dino the Dinosaur," at Jacksonville's Kona Skatepark.
Prodigy or not, the prospect of jumping down the 15-foot high half-pipe was no doubt hair-raising for the kindergarten-aged boy.
The video shows the young child seemingly second-guessing his ability to take the plunge, prompting Crossland to do what any good sports dad would do. He kicked the little wussy off the top of the skate ramp.
"It kind of hits right here when you are a parent to see someone do that to a kid," said a father at the skatepark whom ABC News showed the footage. "That is somebody who got way too aggressive."
Thankfully, the outrage sparked online after the video was posted to Instagram this past weekend led the overzealous father to be temporarily banned from the skatepark and get questioned by police for his extreme coaching tactics.
