A man accused of attacking and racially abusing V. Stiviano has turned himself in to police.
Dominick Diorio, 40, will be charged with assault and committing a hate crime after he allegedly punched Stiviano and hurled racial epithets at her in New York this weekend.
Stiviano told police she was at Revel restaurant with her sister and a friend when a group including Diorio, who was celebrating his 40th birthday, started harassing them. Wen Diorio got near her face to take a picture of her, she knocked his phone from his hands.
The women then left the restaurant and walked to the Gansvoort hotel to hail a cab. Diorio and two other people followed them, hurling racial slurs at them.
The confrontation escalated outside the hotel when the men punched Stiviano after she had gotten into a cab. Stiviano and her sister then assumed fighting positions and Stiviano was punched by two of the men.
Two bystanders broke up the fight. Security arrived to find Diorio fallen on the ground, bleeding.
Photos taken after the incident show Stiviano's face bruised and swollen.
Diorio faces charges of assault as a hate crime, assault, harassment and aggravated harassment.
Stiviano rose to fame after she recorded Donald Sterling making racist remarks about African Americans. The NBA is now trying to make Sterling sell the Clippers.
