A woman in New Taipei City, Taiwan began receiving numerous phone calls from men looking for one night stands after her vengeful 27-year-old ex-boyfriend posted her number on an online hook-up chat room.
The woman, surnamed Wu, allegedly dumped the man, surnamed Huang, over his Internet addiction. Trying to win her back, Huang would stand guard outside her office and her home begging for her to return. Wu eventually told him that she was seeing someone else, and asked him to leave. The desperate and vengeful Huang then decided to post Wu's phone number in an online chatroom for loners looking for one night stands.
Over the past month, Wu has been receiving numerous phone calls from people looking to hook up, getting at least 20 calls a night. She recalled her bad break-up with Huang and confronted him about the situation, and Huang admitted to what he did.
During a police interrogation, Huang confessed that he posted Wu's phone number online in revenge over their break-up. He has been charged with defamation.
