Bus bomb attack: a losing gambler bombed a bus in Guangzhou, China, dozens injured

A losing gambler allegedly detonated a bomb on a bus in Guangzhou, China, shaking up passersby on Tuesday night. This gruesome live footage shows people rolling on the ground to extinguish the fire.

The 25-year-old arson suspect, identified only by his surname Ou, admitted to the crime upon his arrest on Wednesday. He claimed that he conspired the bombing out of rage because he lost a bunch of money while gambling.

The accident caused two deaths and 32 people were reported injured.

A witness said he tried to put out the fire with extinguishers but it was way too fierce so he could only borrow some towels and clothes from the residents nearby to cover the victims.

The injured were sent to two different hospitals.

The accident site has been cleared out. Although the bus company's policy is that drivers inspect any large carry-on luggage, the measure didn't seem to be followed.
