Staged death or missing? Jersey Shore boat racer may have faked death in boating accident.

Atlantic Police are suggesting that a champion powerboat racer, declared missing following a crash of his pontoon boat last month, may have staged the accident to evade criminal charges.

44-year-old Andrew Biddle, had several complaints filed against him for his involvement in a boat scamming business.

On July 20th, Biddle and another boat racer, 23-year-old Justin Belz left a Somer’s Point Restaurant near Atlantic City.

The crash happened around 11:30pm that evening when biddle was driving his pontoon and crashed into a large rock.

Belz swam to shore and told alerted authorities, but that was the last time Biddle was seen.

The coast guard conducted an 18-hour search that covered more than 60 miles and included helicopters and the help of private boaters, but no trace of Biddle was found.

Authorities are now starting to believe Biddle may have staged his own death.
