A St Ann police officer and 20-year veteran has been suspended after pointing an automatic assault rifle at media and protesters in Ferguson, video of which has gone viral on the internet.

In the video, Lt. Ray Albers can be seen with his rifled raised, pointing it at protesters. He yells: “Get the f--- away from me. I will f---ing kill you. Get back.”

Protesters confront Albers and demand to know his name. He replies “Go f--- yourself”. The short, tense exchange ends when another cop encourages Albers to lower his weapon and walk away.
