Building collapse: possible gas leak explosion brings down apartment, multiple dead

Two people, an 8-year-old child and an elderly women, were killed when an explosion caused an apartment building to collapse in the Paris suburb of Rosny-Sous-Bois on Sunday, according to firefighters.
The interior minister said an explosion took place at around 7:00 a.m., ripping off one side of the building and exposing the units inside. Some witnesses who rushed to the scene pulled children from the rubble, Reuters reported.
The cause of the blast is unknown, but the interior minister said it was likely caused by a gas leak.
Multiple other people were injured in the incident, some critically. At least 10 people were pulled from the rubble resulting from the explosion, firefighters said.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blast.
