Teacher beating student: Muslim tutor whips and beats student during Quran class caught on video

A video showing a religious teacher caning, slapping and throwing a young student in front of a roomful of kids has gone viral on the Arab web.
Al Arabiya English, the first English outlet to publish the video reports the beating took place in a mosque in the Saudi Kingdom’s second-largest city, Jeddah, during a Qur'anic recital class. It’s not know how the kid sinned.
Unhappy with being thrown across the room, the boy, who looks to be no older than seven, at one point tries to fight back, which just invites more caning as his classmates look on.
A spokesman for the group which conducts the classes in Qur'anic recital said the incident is being investigated.
