A Newport Beach woman is facing domestic violence charges after her neighbor posted a video that went viral of her attacking her boyfriend.

In the video, which has racked up nearly three million views, Laura Cox pushes her boyfriend off of his scooter then backs her vehicle up narrowly missing him.

The man, whose name has not released, publicly spoke out to defend his girlfriend despite the abusive behavior displayed in the video.

Cox was charged with one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence of methamphetamine with a prior conviction, use and under the influence of a controlled substance, domestic violence battery, and vandalism under $400.
