Cop sexually assaults woman: Earl Theriot, Sorrento, Louisiana police chief of pleads guilty

Earl Theriot, the former police chief of Sorrento, Louisiana resigned on Friday after pleading guilty to committing sex acts with an unresponsive woman.
In November of last year Theriot responded to a 911 call about an unconscious woman at a gas station. He groped the woman while she sat in the front seat of his squad car and even pulled over to buy some vodka.
Instead of driving her home, though, Theriot took her to his office where he restrained the woman with handcuffs and her belt. The sick police chief then forced her to perform oral sex on him as a way of (his words) “helping a friend out.”
While the police chief was in a meeting, the victim was able to call her boyfriend and tell him she was being held against her will. Her boyfriend drove to the police station to pick her up.
Theriot handed over the woman, her belt and a half-drunk bottle of vodka to her boyfriend around 5 p.m. Her pants were unbuttoned and unzipped. To make matters worse, Theriot contacted the woman several times after the incident offering her money and alcohol to, as he said, “return the favor.”
Theriot also pleaded guilty to lying to FBI investigators. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
