Good cop caught on camera: NYPD police officer Gregory Zakoscielny saves choking woman

A quick-thinking member of the New York Police Department is being called a hero after he saved a woman from choking to death.

Gregory Zakoscielny of NYPD Highway 1 was driving along the Bronx River Parkway on Wednesday when he spotted a Ford Taurus driving erratically.

When the car stopped, Zakoscielny pulled over, and his dash cam captured the dramatic moment when he performed the Heimlich maneuver on the 49-year-old woman, likely saving her life, police said.

The woman said she had been choking on a piece of candy.
