On 3 June 2013, she was found dead in her apartment Sagar Sangeet in Juhu, Mumbai after apparently hanging herself .
Jiah Khan reportedly hanged herself at her Juhu residence. Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya recently.
According to the police, her maid, watchman and neighbors are being interrogated to find out her last visitors.
Jiah's mother and sister had gone out and she was alone at the house when the incident happened, police said.
"Jiah's mother and sister found her hanging when they returned at around 11 pm," police said, adding that Jiah used her dupatta to hang herself.
Police said postmortem of the body will be conducted on Tuesday and they have registered a case of accidental death.
Police are yet to record the statement of the actor's mother as she is in shock.
Jiah and Sooraj were allegedly seeing each other and were facing problems in their relationship. She was believed to be depressed over this.
According to sources, Sooraj had visited her house around 9.30 pm on Monday night. They exchanged calls between 10.35 pm and 11.15 pm.
She committed suicide within minutes of their last phone conversation.
