Kim Jong Un the mountain climber scales 9,000ft Paektu Mountain, North Korea's highest
  • 9 years ago
Kim Jong Un has climbed North Korea's tallest mountain according to state media.

The dictator posed for photographs atop the 9,000ft Paektu Mountain along with army officials and North Korean fighter pilots.

"Climbing Mount Paektu provides precious mental pabulum more powerful than any kind of nuclear weapon," state media quoted Kim as saying.

Reports state that the climb was part of a military visit to fighter pilots who recently finished a tour of battle sites in the area.

The mountain is close to the country's northern border with China. It is considered an important part of Korean folklore and plays a crucial role in state propaganda about the Un family.

Another recent claim from North Korea about Kim Jong Un is that the dictator could drive at age three.
