Navy SEAL swimming pool accident: two soldiers die in mysterious 'training accident' in Virginia

Two U.S. Navy SEALs died following some kind of incident in a swimming pool at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia.

The two Navy SEALs were identified as Special Warfare Operator First Class Seth Cody Lewis of New York City, who died on Friday and Special Warfare Operator First Class Brett Allen Marihugh, of Livonia, who succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, according to Reuters.

The two men were reportedly doing physical fitness training in the pool when another service member found their bodies at the bottom of the pool, according to Reuters.

A spokesman for the unit, Lt. David Lloyd said the two men were not using diving equipment but did not provide any further details, the Virginian-Pilot reported.
