Palestinians Mourn Youth Killed by Israeli Forces

Thousands of Palestinian mourners marched on Sunday in a funeral procession for 20-year-old Mahmoud Abu Jheisha who was killed by Israeli forces in Hebron on Saturday. Chanting slogans condemning Israeli crimes and waving Hamas and Fatah flags, the mourners were beset by Israeli security forces as they carried the body through the streets. In Gaza, the Israeli army shelled homes and farms around the northern town of Beit Hanoun after reporting that two missiles fired from Gaza had hit Israeli settlements. No casualties were reported in either case. Nevertheless Gaza residents fear more reprisals for the attack that has not been claimed by any Palestinian group.
