Elsa, a writer, and Pierre, a lawyer, cross paths at the closing night of a book fair: a gaze, a lighter that changes hands, laughter that is a little too nervous, the possibility of a relationship... An encounter?
Except what comes first in Pierre's life is his family: his children and Anne, his wife of fifteen years, the woman he knows he will always love, despite routines and passing time.
As for Elsa, she is slowly getting back on her feet after a complicated divorce. He life is divided between her writing, her teenage children who are growing up too fast, her girlfriends, and a casual affair with Hugo, her young lover. For her, married men are taboo, and even worse, are a mistake.
However, right from the first look, the encounter between Pierre and Elsa enters into a different temporality, as though the present and a possible future run parallel, clash... until they create a reality where anything is possible.
