Southwest Airlines To Feature Wider Seats
  • 9 years ago
Southwest Airlines announced its new planes will be equipped with wider seats for roomier travel in economy class.

While complaints over the limited seating on planes typically fall on deaf ears, one commercial airliner has decided to buck the trend.

Southwest Airlines announced they'll have wider seats on all new Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft that are being added to their fleet.

The seats featured in the economy section of the planes will be increased by exactly 0.7 inches, expanding their width from 17.1 inches to 17.8 inches.

They will be the largest seats available in the coach section of any Boeing 737 in the United States.
