First images of alleged spring break rape video with Troy University Black students released by cops

Police have released the first images of a video showing an alleged spring break gang rape on a crowded beach, which one sheriff has called “one of the most disgusting, repulsive, sickening things” he’s ever seen.

The shaky cell phone footage, which is partially blurred, purports to show suspects Ryan Calhoun and Delone' Martistee raping an unconscious 19-year-old woman in perfect spring weather on a beach in Panama City, Fla., in March. As the assault occurs, crowds of rowdy beachgoers stand only a few feet away, partying and cheering with outrageous oblivion to what’s happening nearby.

Ultimately, no one intervened and the assault was likely witnessed by hundreds of people, police said.

In a press conference, Sheriff Frank McKeithen castigated the partygoers in the video who seem “more concerned about spilling their beer than they did someone being raped.”

“We have got to get control of our beaches. It is not safe for our children to be out there on the beaches when these animals are out there conducting themselves like this,” he said.

The video comes out as police are broadening the investigation into the vile video, announcing the search for two other suspects besides Calhoun and Martistee, both of whom were arrested last week and charged with sexual battery by multiple perpetrators. Both of them are students at Troy University in Alabama, but both were suspended on Monday, school officials said.

Calhoun, 23, bonded out of jail on Saturday, while Martistee, a 22-year-old senior and track star, remains in custody, the Panama City News-Herald reported.
