Brazilian serial killer: Thiago Rocha confesses to 39 murders

Brazilian police have arrested a man who has confessed to the killings of 39 people.
The 26-year-old serial killer Thiago Henrique Gomes da Rocha targeted young women, homeless people and homosexual men. There were 16 women, 8 homeless men and 15 men among his victims, Fox News Latino reported.
Rocha was arrested at his home on the outskirts of Goiania on Tuesday. A .38 revolver and some stolen plates were seized from his home, according to Mirror.
Rocha reportedly committed the crimes because “he felt a lot of rage” and then after the killings he felt a “great depression” that pushed him to commit more crimes, according to Fox News Latino.
He often demanded valuables from his victims before shooting them. However, he rarely took their possessions, BBC reported.
Rocha tried to commit suicide in his prison cell on Thursday but was prevented by a prison guard who managed to subdue him, Fox News Latino reported.
