A man entered the White House’s north lawn after scaling the surrounding iron fence on Wednesday evening. He was subdued by canine units and arrested by Secret Service officers.

This marks the second time in the past few weeks where someone has scaled the White House fence. Omar Gonzalez, 42, climbed the fence in mid-September and entered the executive mansion armed with a serrated knife before being arrested.

The man who entered the premises on Wednesday night was seen on video footage wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt and long white shorts. He was about 20 yards past the fence before he was attacked by K-9 units, which he responded to by punching and kicking. He was quickly tackled by officers and arrested.

At least part of the White House was on lockdown for roughly 90 minutes after the incident.
