Money found in computer: honest man returns $15,000 discovered inside old PC case he bought for $7

A man in the central Chinese city of Dazhou in Sichuan province last week stumbled upon the equivalent of US$15,000 hidden inside a raggedy, old computer case he had bought.
The man, a 30-year-old fella surnamed Wang, spends his days collecting recyclables from nearby residential areas and earns a paltry US$160 each month. So you’d think that he must’ve thought he’d hit it rich when he found the cash!
But Mr. Wang turned out to be more honest than you or me and turned the cash into the local police station, telling them he remembered buying the old case from a woman in a nearby building. And only paid 7 bucks for the thing.
The police got in touch with the woman about the case and asked if she wanted it back. She reportedly was a bit confused as to why the police wanted to return it to her, but her husband, though, was beside himself.
Apparently, the he’d been squirreling away cash inside the old computer case for years. He said it was his leftover pocket money from the end of each month. The man expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Wang for his honesty and said he had no idea how he would’ve explained the serious financial loss to his wife.
Even local police say they were surprised by Wang’s honesty. This apparently is the first case they’ve gotten where someone has voluntarily surrendered cash they’ve accidentally come across.
