Train-surfing fail: Man catches fire in 12,500 volt electrocution accident atop New York-bound train
  • 9 years ago
A 21-year-old man was found on fire atop a commuter train headed for New York this past Sunday morning, according to a New York Daily News report.

Ohio native and model/actor Brian McClellen was apparently into train surfing. So much so, that he risked climbing atop a Metro-North train car at one of the outlying stations in Connecticut.

We don’t exactly know how long he was on the train for, but various reports suggest he may have been up there for at least a solid hour.

As the train entered the Riverside station in Greenwich, Connecticut, the train’s pantograph, that mechanical arm that draws electricity from the 12,500-volt wires overhead, came down, electrocuting him and turning him into a human fireball.

McClellen was transported to the burn unit at Westchester Medical Center, and is reportedly alive, but in an unknown condition at this time.
