Baby tiger on the loose near Paris, French officials hunting the big cat

French authorities are searching for what they believe is a young tiger on the loose in Montevrain, a small town around 35 km east of Paris, France.
Jean-Baptiste Berdeaux, a manager of the Intermarche supermarket in Montevrain, said "My wife saw it this morning.”
“She didn't get out of the car and called me to say 'I think I saw a lynx',” Berdeaux told the AFP.
A specialist said the animal’s paw prints confirm that it is likely a young tiger. Authorities have said they were hoping to catch the animal alive unless it becomes dangerous or aggressive.
Officials are armed with tranquilizer guns while helicopters in the search are equipped with thermal detectors to try and spot the animal.
It isn’t known where the animal came from. Montevrain is near Disneyland Paris, but the theme park says it does not have any tigers. A circus also recently passed through town and a big cat wildlife park is located 18 miles away, according to Sky News, but neither organization said they were missing a tiger.
