Car bomb: German kills himself in front of his family by detonating explosives in car

A 49-year-old German man detonated explosives in his car in front of his house, killing himself and injuring several others in central Germany on Sunday.
The man got into a heated argument with his family on Sunday night home at his home in Ober-Ofleiden village in Hesse state. Afterwards, he drove away in his car, and his wife and daughter alerted the police. Another daughter was not at home at that time.
Police arrived at the scene and the man returned with explosives hidden in his car. He detonated the explosives, killing himself and injuring seven people, including his wife and daughter, two policemen and three neighbours. The blast was so strong that it shattered building and car windows within a 500-metre radius.
Quoting police, local media said that the bomber was likely a demolitions expert who was authorised to have access to explosives.
