Missing boy found alive: Georgia police rescue 13-year-old behind a false wall

Authorities found a boy held captive by his father for four years behind a false wall at a home in Georgia on Saturday.
The boy visited his father Gregory Jean from Florida four years ago. However, his father and stepmother did not allow the boy to leave and return to his mother.
The Jean family moved into the house near Atlanta six months ago. Neighbors said the boy often tended the yard and had no idea that he was held against his will.
Officers arrived at Jean’s house on Friday night after receiving a tip-off, but they failed to find the boy after a brief search of the house.
The 13-year-old managed to use a smartphone to send a text message to his mother in Florida, who in turn alerted the officers on scene.
Officers returned to the household at 2 a.m. and found the horrified boy behind a false wall stacked with towels in the garage.
The father and the stepmother have been charged with false imprisonment, cruelty to children and obstruction. The mother is an immigrant, so she was not familiar with the procedures and only contacted child support recovery after her son went missing.
