Hot selfie competition contestants all losers, nobody gets $10,000

A dubious Australian “selfie contest” was called off after the organizer claimed an entrant was intimidated outside of the Facebooks.

Serious Selfies, a proprietary limited liability company, not to be confused with the Tumblr, “Selfies in Serious Places,” invited Facebook users to submit three selfies and A$10 for a chance to win $10,000 (currency unspecified)!

But the company, whose website contains no selfies and which claims to specialize in “online photographic competitions,” pulled the plug, saying:

“Unfortunately, one of our entrants had been contacted and intimidated outside of the Facebook platform.”

So all the money’s been returned, or “donated to charity,” and the company, which has no phone number or address, has all but disappeared. So all those poor narcissists took selfies for nothing! What a waste of talent!
