Plane crash survivor: Connecticut pilot Danny Hall escapes second Cessna crash landing

A Connecticut pilot is lucky to be alive after his plane went down on a yet-to-be opened bus thoroughfare in West Hartford.

Danny Hall, a small business owner, was on his way from Robertson Airport in Plainville to Brainard Airport in Hartford when his plane lost power.

Hall landed the plane on an unoccupied bus thoroughfare that was under construction. The Cessna lost a wing and narrowly missed a few homes before it crash landed, police said.

This is the second time Hall has crashed a plane he was piloting. In 2008, Hall crash landed in a Rhode Island lake.

An investigation later uncovered mice nesting in the plane caused the engine trouble that led to the crash.

Hall was virtually uninjured in both incidents and escaped with just a few bumps and bruises.

He told local media he is considering giving up flying altogether. That’s probably a good idea.
