Two headed miracle baby: Conjoined twins shock doctors and parents with their arrival

An extremely rare medical condition known as dicephalic parapagus is when conjoined twins are born sharing the same body. Identical twins are born when a fertilized zygote splits and grows into two babies, conjoined twins occur when the split is imperfect and the zygote does not completely separate into two. The reason this condition is so rare is because the twins usually die and the mother suffers a miscarriage.

Medical experts who have worked in the neonatal field for 40 years say that they have never seen a case like this.

The two boys were born premature and everyone was shocked with their arrival, but their parents say they are still happy. The boys’ father says that when he saw their smiling faces and touched their tiny hands, he fell in love with his children unconditionally.

This is why the parents, poor farmers, have sold everything they own in hopes that they will be able to find a doctor willing to help separate their sons. Their original doctors explained that as the two boys shared one complete body, there was no way to separate the twins without killing them.

But the boys’ parents haven’t given up hope yet and will be transferring their sons to another hospital. They said their sons are a miracle and it is a miracle they are alive, so they will continue to hope for a miracle that will allow their sons to live separate happy lives.
