Train vs. bear: Russian hooligans on train attempt to run over bear for fun

A shocking 20-second video showing the moment bloodthirsty Russians in control of a train intentionally run down a wild bear has outraged the internet.

Filmed by the 30-year-old locomotive driver around 2 a.m. last Thursday, the clip saw the bear running from the approaching train behind it along the railway track in Norilsk, an industrial city in Siberian Russia.

Instead of slowing down, the engineer sped up to chase the terrified bear, while two other man scream, “f***ing squash him.”

Yet, somehow, the bear is still alive, according to a statement from the train’s operator.

“Patrols found no traces of blood, so most likely the animal didn't receive any serious trauma,” said the head of press service, Petr Likholitov of the Norilsk Nickel Mining and Metallurgical Company.

A 24-hour a search conducted by the Western Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office failed to find any bear remains.

Report in local media said the same bear has been spotted around the city by local residents.

Mr. Likholitov explained that the front spade of the train used to clear away snow might have simply lifted the bear and thrown it clear to the side. He added the train drivers had clearly violated their code of conduct.

The men face up to a two years in prison or a fine up to 300,000 rubles (USD$5,600).
