New Pakistan school attack: two explosions heard at girls college in Khyber province

A day after a horrific Taliban massacre at a military-run school in Peshawar, two bomb blasts were reported near another Pakistani school on Wednesday.

The attack happened in the northwestern Pakistani town of Dera Ismail Khan about 304 km south of the city of Peshawar where the Taliban killed 141, mostly children, on Tuesday.

The two explosions were reported at the city’s Girls Degree College, according to a report by the International Business Times.

Pakistani security forces arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. No injuries have yet been reported nor has any group yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Taliban declared Tuesday’s attack, which drew swift condemnation across the world, was carried out in retaliation for a recent military offensive in the region.
