Cab driver attacked by customer who won’t pay but stabs driver more than 30 times

A 23 year old man was arrested in Tokyo for attacking a taxi driver.
The man hailed the cab in the Shinjuku area and told the the driver to take him to his home in Hino, about 40 minutes away.
When they arrived at the man’s home he refused to pay his $140 cab fare. The driver locked the car doors, demanding the man pay him.
That’s when the passenger pulled a knife and began stabbing the driver before fleeing the scene.
The driver is alive, but suffered more than 30 stab wounds to his head and upper torso. Doctors say he will need three months or more to fully recover.
Police used the taxi cab’s dashcam video to track down the suspect who faces charges including attempted murder and robbery.
