Couchsurfing nightmare: Dino Maglio may have raped over 100 female guests

Dino Maglio, age 35, is a police officer in Padua, Italy. He’s also a rapist who used the website couchsurfing.com to lure female victims to his home.
The alias he used on the website was Leon Padova and he offered a place for tourists to crash as well as a one or two day guided tour around the city by yours truly.
However, Maglio is now being charged with the rape of a 16 year old girl from Australia who was traveling with her older sister and mother. Maglio has admitted to drugging the girl and then having sex with her, although he claims that it was consensual since she didn’t say ‘no’ in her drugged out state.
Several other women have also come forward and said that they had also been drugged and raped by Maglio.
One woman from Hong Kong posted a negative review on Maglio’s profile page and he threatened her via Facebook to remove the comment or he’d make trouble for her during her next visit to Europe. The Hong Kong woman ignored him and then began receiving other messages from women who’d also been victimized by Maglio.
There are an additional 14 cases of rape being investigated by police, although there may be as many as a hundred victims.
Maglio’s court date for the first of possibly a string of rape trials begins on March 17th.
