Afroman punches woman: Joseph Foreman (aka Afroman) charged with assault after he hits fan

Police arrested Afroman, real name Joseph Foreman, on assault charges after he punched a female fan who was dancing on stage with him.

Afroman is best known for the hit single “Because I Got High,” but he’s no longer rapping about Colt 45s and two Zig-Zags.
A fan at Afroman’s Biloxi, Mississippi show captured video of him attempting to play guitar, but that wasn’t the only shocker. When one woman hopped on stage to dance, Afroman turned around and landed a solid right hook, knocking the woman to the ground.

Afroman then continued with the guitar solo like nothing happened. The girl eventually stood up and some dude jumped up from the front row to assist her. Afroman said something to the man but our lip-reading abilities are about as good as his guitar skills so we’re not sure what he said.

Police arrested Afroman, real name Joseph Foreman, on assault charges. He was released on a $330 bond.

Afroman apologized for what his representative called a “completely involuntary reflex.” He told TMZ that he mistook the girl for a male heckler who had been shouting at him earlier in the show.
