Asian male adult film star Jeremy Long is on a mission to defy Asian stereotypes, while also pursuing a degree from UC Berkeley School of Law.
He may look like your typical Berkeley law school student—but turn on the cameras and out comes Jeremy Long, one of the very few Asian males in the adult film industry.
Long told The Daily Californian that he was inspired by the work of Darrell Hamamoto, who researched the desexualization of Asian males in the media.
Long crafted his name after another famous Asian - basketball star Jeremy Lin and decided to do something about the underrepresentation of Asian men in porn.
He took on Asian stereotypes with an on-screen role as a math teacher and leveraged his knowledge about fair use laws by wearing his school’s logo.
Unlike most men, Long is like a unicorn in the industry and says he won’t pull out until more Asian men come in. The star of Asianschlong.com still has dreams of becoming a public defender, but will he ever be taken seriously?
“I’m very passionate about representing Asian males in the media,” Long told KPIX in San Francisco. “And I think adult films is one of the most important areas for us to work on.”
