Spree killer in Japan stabs 5 people to death with a knife in Hyogo Prefecture

A fatal stabbing spree has five people dead in a residential area of Sumoto, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
The suspect, a 40-year-old man, used a knife as the murder weapon.
In one house he killed three people, stabbing each several times.
In the next house, nearby, he killed two more people.
The police found the suspect with blood on his clothes, not too far from the crime scenes. He admitted to the crime under interrogation, and was arrested for murder.
However, the suspect changed his mind during the investigation and would not talk to police until his lawyer was present; he is now listed as a suspect instead. The investigation is ongoing as police try to understand the motive behind the killing spree.
