Dashcam crash: Lexus hits scooter, scooter explodes and sets fire to rider, Lexus drives off

A dashcam captured a dramatic and fiery head-on hit and run collision last night in Hsinchu, a city just outside of Taiwan’s capital, Taipei.
The driver of a Lexus, swings into oncoming traffic in an attempt to overtake the car with the dashcam. The Lexus then slams into a scooter travelling in the opposite direction which explodes.
Despite the explosion and the burning scooter driver, the Lexus carries on driving, maneuvering past the wreckage before speeding off.
The scooter driver, identified as a Mr. Xie, aged 39, was taken to hospital with second degree burns to 45 percent of his body, mostly on his face, chest, and hands, as well as a broken right leg.
The police are still searching for the driver of the Lexus.
