Shooting range suicide: security camera footage captures Scottish man shooting himself in Thailand

A shocking new video shows the moment a shooting range worker in Phuket, Thailand tried to stop a Scottish tourist from killing himself.

Liam Colven, 21, reportedly paid to use a gun at the Thalang Shooting Range while the employee watched.

At some point, Colven turned the gun on himself. The video shows the employee's attempts to grab the gun from Colven.

Colven died from a gunshot wound to the head.

A taxi driver who reportedly picked up Colven said he heard the man arguing with someone on the phone while en route to the shooting range.

"We have taken statements from some witnesses, but we will question more people at the scene," investigating lieutenant Kraisorn Boonprasop said.

Police also said they believe Colven paid to travel to Thailand in order to commit suicide.
