The brief of Aashiqui 2 - A young girl meets a flop musician who promise to launches her as a singer to establish her as a singer, but their relationship is doomed when people assume he's with her for her fame and fortune.
This was a very emotional romantic Bollywood movie, and a sequel to the 1990 musical blockbuster Aashiqui The film which premiered on 26 April 2013 received a positive to mixed critical reception and became a major commercial success at the box-office despite featuring newcomers, earning INR2.1 billion (US$33 million) worldwide. It was declared as a blockbuster by Box Office India after its three-week box office run, and is ranked among one of the highest grossing Hindi film of 2013 and the highest grossing film ever produced by Vishesh Films.
