Singer Zayn Malik is quitting the boy band sensation One Direction. The 22-year-old has apologised to his millions of fans saying he just wants to lead a normal life.

Malik and the other four band members notably Harry Styles found mega fame after appearing in the televised singing competition “ The X Factor” in 2010.

The announcement instantly made Malik’s name one of the top trends on Twitter and is said to have caused heartbreak among his young admirers.
