Waltz Time with Webster Booth & Anne Ziegler

The musical film "Waltz Time" was released in 1945 and featured an interesting number of guest artistes that included Webster Booth, Anne Ziegler, Richard Tauber, as well as comedian George Robey & Albert Sandler & his orchestra. It is an entertaining film but it has one major drawback which was a hindrance even back in 1945 - it was filmed in black and white, at a time when the cinema going public were used to seeing musicals from MGM, 20th Century Fox & the other American studios in glorious technicolor. This limited the film's appeal and the company that produced it shot their next musical (The laughing lady) in colour the following year. This is another very obscure film now, never having had even one tv screening in the UK, or a VHS or dvd release. This clip is sourced from an American issued VHS tape from the 1990s.
