On Tuesday, federal officials searched a number of homes in Southern California as part of ongoing efforts to crackdown on something that is referred to as birthing tourism.

On Tuesday, federal officials searched a number of homes in Southern California as part of ongoing efforts to crackdown on something that is referred to as birthing tourism. 

Agents served warrants at suspected "maternity hotels" or "birthing houses", where pregnant women, in these cases from China, go to deliver their children so they can instantly become U.S. citizens.

Affidavits note that the agencies or individuals operating the facilities allegedly
