The Ralph Lauren fall winter 2015-2016 collection opened the last day of New York Fashion Week fall 2015 triumphantly, bringing glamour, elegance and luxury to the runway and making the audience ahh and ohh at the sight of each and every look showcased.
Ralph Lauren went with a pretty strict color theme this season, and stuck to white, cream and different shades of yellowy brown from sand to a deep chestnut. The play worked thanks in part to the way the minimalist cuts and silhouettes were contrasted with frilly fringed details on leathergoods and knitwear, which also appeared running down the legs of pairs of pants and the arms of coats. The stunning star-studded sequins and feathers created a wonderful contrast with the casual knits, revealing the focal point of the entire line from the very beginning.
The classic RL touches were there with the sportier all-America, styles and warm wool overcoats with wide lapels, some of which came with silver hardware buckles. This season’s favorite trouser, a high-waisted pant with a wide-flared bottom was also in pretty plentiful supply, worn with footwear that included peep-toe sandals in a suede caramel finish and toffee brown high-heeled boots.
