Winter has made its presence known over in Utah with weeks of sub freezing temps. This is not going to make the already difficult climb 'Something Wild' any easier, and with winter looming, it puts more pressure on climber James Simmons to reach his goal.
Typically throughout the winter the cold air gets trapped in the valleys and the mountains actually have warmer air. So as James wait for the Inversion to set in and the winter crags to warm up he's thankful he ticked one of the hardest 5.12s off on the shady side of the canyon.
