Instructions:
1. Bake a round cake, maybe 10 inches.
2. Cut the round in half to form two half moons. Level off the top of one to make it flat.
3. Put frosting on the flattened one, it will be the bottom.
4. Place other moon on top so it matches up.
5. Carve a small amount off the top of the rounded side for a better mouth shape, start the cut from the straight side and slope down a little.
6. Using the scraps and some frosting or marshmallow cream, mix together like we would for a cake pop 7. sculpt a point at the top for the nose
8. Dirty ice the whole cake (cover in a light layer of frosting to set it all as one. Don't worry about crumbs, you will make it pretty shortly)
9. Refrigerate or freeze for a bit to set the frosting and chill the cake.
10. Frost the whole cake again in a ticker layer of frosting.
11. Refrigerate or freeze for a few minutes.
12. Next, cover the whole thing with a layer of rolled out light gray fondant
13. Cover the back half starting at the nose with the dark great fondant
13A. Cut out the shark fin, you'll want to leave it out so it can firm up toke sure it stays pointy once placed.
14. Hand roll out two small 'patties' out of whine fondant (about 2inches across) and place on dark great side on either side of the nose
15. Using a rolling pin, roll out a small amount of blue fondant (or whatever color you'd like your sharks eyes to be! Red could be creepy fun!) and black fondant, cut using circle cutters, place on the white rounds using a small dab of frosting. Color of your choice then the black one on top of the blue. Too of with a few/couple small white round sprinkles
16. Roll out two fat 'worms' out of the light gray fondant and place for the top of the eyes/brow
17. Roll out black fondant and cut out an 8 in 'banana' shape (this will be the back of the mouth. Place on the cake using a little frosting. Cut out two half moons to tuck in to the corners of the mouth. Roll out two thin ropes to line the top and bottom lip. Cut a long rectangle of white (about 2in-10in) and cut out triangles for the teeth. Place teeth on the black using frosting as well. Place shark fin on the back.
18. Color some frosting blue and cover the cake dish or base around the cake. Using a long rolled out 'banana' shape in dark gray, cut it in half and tuck in to each side for side fins.
