Spanish thalidomide victims demand compensation

Hundreds of Spaniards who suffer serious malformations caused by the German drug thalidomide are demanding that Madrid pressure the Grünenthal pharmaceutical company to pay them due compensations. Thalidomide was a prescribed to pregnant women during the second half of the 20th century to fight nausea, but it caused thousands of children to be born with malformations. teleSUR
