In France, the city of Paris has put a stop to the filming of action movies in the area out of concern that the scripted activities could lead to real problems, reports the Associated Press.

The decision comes in the wake of terrorist attacks that resulted in the loss of 20 lives.

Sylvie Barnaud, the police official in charge of granting permission for outdoor movie making, told the news agency, "There's a problem with these action-type scenes, as the actors in uniform could be targets for terrorists. Also, the actors could pose confusion for the general public — during this highly sensitive period."

In addition to chases and shoot-outs, the filming of segments involving religious buildings and schools has also been suspended.
