Roisin Murphy releases a new single Overpowered on July 9th 2007, the album of the same name will be released later this year on October 15th.
Overpowered, is an insistent, electronic gem and a powerful introduction to the new sound of Róisín Murphy. Written by Roisin and Seiji of Bugz In The Attic and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Royksopp, Grace Jones), the single is accompanied by a series of brilliant remixes from the likes of Seamus Haji, Kris Menace, Hervé and Loose Cannons. Already a massive club hit, it's rocketing up all the major dance charts, and getting great radio plays everywhere from major players such as Pete Tong and Annie Mac to mainstream support from the likes of Capital Radio.??The album is already creating a huge stir, not just in the UK but across Europe, America and Japan where early listens to the 6-track sampler have provoked a fevered response with many critics already hailing it as one of the albums of the year. A modern disco classic, stuffed full of huge floor-filling pop songs, quirky lyrical genius and hooks galore, 'Overpowered' sees Roisin Murphy deliver the album of her career.
